We had great fun on our visit to the Chatham Dockyard.
For our first activity, we made missiles out of paper and fired them at a target. Next, we took part in a Lego workshop where we were able to look at models and learn new things; we also made models of our own. Our next stop was a tour of a submarine called ‘Ocelot’, which was built for the Navy in 1962. We then learned how to make rope and visited the Hemp House, which is 1/4 of a mile long. Finally, we went on board the ‘Cavalier’, which was the last operational WWII destroyer in the Royal Navy.
