Welcome to St Nicholas CE Primary Academy

‘St Nicholas… a school with inspirational leadership… and life-changing impact across the community’ - SIAMs November 2023

“The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development, welfare and behaviour is outstanding” OFSTED 2019

We hope you find our website useful and informative and that it will inspire you to visit our school and meet our dedicated teachers and fantastic children.

Our principal aim at St Nicholas is to provide a caring and stimulating Christian environment where the children acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding to become active learners for life. They are encouraged to recognise the positive contribution that they and others can make to an ever-changing and diverse society.

The academy has strong links with the community, taking part in competitions, festivals, charity fundraising events, community events and regularly visiting our local church.

Each child’s educational progress, spiritual growth, social development and overall well-being are at the very heart of our provision at St Nicholas. Our vision of ‘Learning, loving and encouraging through Christ’ is central to everything we aim to achieve. We are an inclusive school and ensure every child is given an equal opportunity to flourish. That’s why Ofsted (2019) said we are “…a place where children always come first… and the school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development, welfare and behaviour is outstanding.”

Our website provides only a glimpse of what we feel makes St Nicholas CE Primary distinctive. The best way for you to appreciate what we can offer your child is to experience our school first hand. We warmly welcome visits to the school from prospective parents and extend an invitation to parents, families, residents to attend our community events and services.

St Nicholas CE Primary Academy is proud to be an active member of Aquila. To find out more about the Trust, visit their website www.aquilatrust.co.uk
