WAs part of our second task days for ‘6 Ways to Wellbeing’, we created Christmas cards for people within our community who might be alone at Christmas. We wrote letters about what we have been learning at school. The focus for this session was ‘connect’.
We also drew pictures of the lighthouse as part of our learning about the marsh desert.
For the first time, year 4 sent Christmas cards to our link school in France.
We were really excited when we received replies on the last day of term!
We really enjoyed making paper lanterns for the parade. We worked collaboratively on the trees and then each made our own baubles to add to the tree.
We enjoyed making Christingles for our church service on the last day of term.
Year 4 marked the start of the advent period with a wonderful service in church.
We created posters all about us to share with our link school.
We sent our bunting off to the school.
We took part in a Zoom call with our link school. We enjoyed playing games, answering and posing questions.
We wrote prayers of remembrance and created our own poppy wreath.
The children enjoyed participating in our first activity with The Linking Network. They created poetry with Joseph Coelho.
The children started their project for Light Up New Romney this week. We are not allowed to give you any information about what we are making because it is top secret! You will be able to see the finished product during the parade on Friday 12th December. More information will be shared nearer the time!
