Chloe is our Star of the Week for working hard on her writing. She has written a fantastic story this week.

 

 

Daisy-May has been using encouraging words this week. She has even encouraged Mrs Lee!

Welcome to the final term of the academic year.  We have a very busy term ahead of us, so please make sure that you check Class Dojo on a regular basis to make sure that you don’t miss out on key information.

Here is an overview of the term ahead; much of this is a continuation of term 5.

This week we celebrate Henley for star of the week – he has worked so hard with his writing this week and continues to think about his sentence and word choices; creating really beautifully written pieces of work.

Value Award: Respect

Carmela was awarded the value certificate for showing respect every day.

 

Taylor was awarded the encourager this week. He was one of our captains at the Shepway Sports Trust’s Football tournament and Miss Arnold was so impressed how he led his team.

 

Jake was awarded the reading certificate this week – well done.

Joseph and Thomas won the reading raffle for this term, which is well deserved.

Oak class achieved 100% on Reading Plus this week – well done!

We performed ‘Yellow Submarine’ by the Beatles as part of our performance for the school’s ‘Party in the Park’ celebrations.

Neil was the winner of our hat competition.

A great time was had by all!

Elm class made models to represent different coastal features.

 

We also explored the impact of erosion.

Well done to Thomas for working hard to improve his writing – he has made great progress this year.

 

Alfie always encourages his peers to make the right choices – well done!

Taylor was award the Star of the Week this week. Unfortunately he wasn’t well at the beginning of the week and had to sit 5 of the SATs tests in one day! He was so composed throughout and really took it in his stride. Well done for such maturity Taylor!

Value Award: Respect

Jenson received the value certificate for showing respect to others throughout the week. Well done!

 

Leila was awarded the Barnabas encourager award this week for encouraging others to make the right choices. She has shown such kindness to others this week too! Well done Leila.

 

Neil is our ‘Reader of the Week’ – well done!

 

Year 6 won Nicholas Bear for their hard work during SATs this week.

Riley is our ‘Star of the Week’ for working hard to improve his handwriting.

 

 

Megan is awarded the St Barnabas award for encouraging others in her group.

 

Elm were joint Reading Plus winners and won the TTRS trophy – well done!

We celebrate Aiden M this week as our Star of the Week – he has persevered so well this week with his maths!

Leo is always respectful to others and has been awarded the values certificate for this week. Well done!

 

Harley is awarded the St Barnabas Encourager award.  He has worked really well within his group and has supported them.

 

Daisy – May is our ‘Reader of the Week’ – well done!

 

Elm won the KS2 Reading Trophy and had the highest Reading Plus percentage this week – well done!

This term, year 6 will be having cricket lessons every Friday with a cricket coach.
