This week in art, the children have been experimenting with charcoal as a drawing media. They drew 8 settings – stormy sea, calm sea, wind and driving rain, thunder, lightning, bleak forest, snowstorm and fire.
They really enjoyed using the charcoal, creating harsh lines, bold shading, light shading, softened shapes by smudging the charoal with finger tips or paper towel. Here are some examples of their work.
